🎯 About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer Lead who not only delivers solutions but also sets direction.

You will be the person who:

  • understands the client’s business challenges,
  • designs data‑driven solutions, and
  • leads projects end‑to‑end from problem definition to implementation from a technical perspective.

This is not a classic people manager role, but a project and technical leadership position with a strong technology focus.

 

🧠 Your Responsibilities:

  • Exploring business problems and translating them into technical solutions
  • Collaborating with clients and presenting different technical concepts
  • Designing modern data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Databricks)
  • Technical leadership of projects: breaking down tasks, professional support for the team
  • Mentoring colleagues and sharing knowledge

👉 The focus is not on daily coding, but on system‑level thinking and technical decision‑making — while still having a deep understanding of the technologies involved.

 

✅ What You Should Bring:

 ✔️ 5+ years of experience in Analytics or Data Engineering
 ✔️ Experience in a technical lead, project lead, or architect role
 ✔️ Confident use of SQL and Python (Pandas, PySpark)
 ✔️ Hands on experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks
✔️ Strong data modeling mindset and understanding of business context
✔️ Version control (Git) and collaborative team work
✔️ Professional‑level English communication skills
✔️ Native‑level Hungarian language skills
✔️ Proactive, accountable mindset

 

🌟 Nice to Have 

➕ Power BI experience
➕ dbt and/or stream processing experience
➕ Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, ClickUp)
➕ Cloud architecture design experience
➕ Participation in AI‑driven or advanced analytics projects  

 

🎓  Relevant Certifications (Not Required, but a Plus)
